We have another selection of artwork that people have sent in to us:

Firstly a Toxic Animation by Neal Anderson, who has also recently done this picture of Dirk Valentine which I'm sure you will agree is a great action shot!

We've also had our first 3D rendered image sent in: Mutiny by Matt Eldridge. It's the first level of the game built in Google SketchUp. Thanks to everyone who has been sending in artwork - we will have more soon!

We've noticed that lots of you have been very busy making videos on YouTube... It's always really great to see how much effort people have gone to to make a Nitrome video! Here are a couple of our favourites:

We also thought that this one was worth a mention... alfiedabomb tells us how to pronounce Nitrome. Just so you know, he's got it right... it's the first one! (n - eye - trome)

We have a second screenshot to show you of the upcoming Toxic 2 game for MTV Arcade. It's coming along well... there's going to be a lot of surprises! Lots of new robots for our yellow-suited hero to discover!

For you who didn't guess... We can now properly announce that we're working on a sequel to Toxic. Toxic has been one of the most popular games we've done with MTV Arcade and we're thrilled to be making a sequel with them! Although we're still very proud of the original, we think our skills have improved since making it, so the first thing we have done with the game is a complete overhaul of the game engine - making it slicker and more robust.

We're not going to give too much away in this update... but here's an early screenshot to whet your appetite!

Today we see that launch of Final Ninja - a game where you can swing around the levels on a ninja rope and hide from your enemies using your incredible stealth suit!

Navigate your way through each level battling against hordes of cyborg samurai, using your ninja skills to avoid security lasers and spotlights. Do you have what it takes to be the Final Ninja

Magic Touch on the DS? Birslip has made a DS homebrew version of our game which he describes (in French) here. We were quite impressed with the finished results! He did of course ask for our permission before using the game idea and artwork ;)

We have also noticed that there are a lot of budding young game developers out there using a website called Scratch to create games. This is great if you want to learn how to make very simple games without having to go too in depth with the programming. We found a few Nitrome-inspired games made using Scratch that we had to show you:

We found this weird article about Skywire over at JayIsGames... I don't know what's going on but we want whatever they're having! The author of the article, SonicLover, has also written an interesting essay about our game SmallFry here. We're quite impressed... we think maybe he knows more about the game than we do!

Remember the picture of Toxic by Neal Anderson that we showed you a while ago? Well Neal has produced another piece of Nitrome-Art, this time of Small Fry. Neal tells us to keep checking his gallery page, as he's planning to upload more Nitrome inspired images in the near future!

A message from our mystic...

I forsee a new sequel on the horizon to a popular game created by Nitrome for MTV Arcade.The future is cloudy... I see a figure dressed in yellow but I cannot see his face. All will become apparent in the near future. I sense that we will have a blast when he finally arrives.
